As the founder of this nonprofit, I’m here to do more than launch programs — I’m here to create a space where dignity, support, and community truly thrive. About Our Organization
Serving children throughout the New Orleans community, WHO DAT Cares Foundation believes every child deserves access to quality books and the chance to reach their full potential. Through community partnerships, book giveaways, and innovative educational programs, the foundation is building stronger readers, confident writers, and future leaders—one book, one child, and one community at a time.
True change doesn’t just happen at the surface — it grows from deep care, consistent action, and a belief in collective good.
Each story, each life, carries its own weight — shaped by hardship, resilience, and the desire to feel safe and supported. Through personalized outreach, compassionate services, and community-led initiatives, we work to restore dignity and connection where it’s needed most.
We started WHO DAT Cares Foundation with one belief: every child deserves the opportunity to discover the power of reading, learning, and believing in themselves.
What began as a simple desire to place books into the hands of children has grown into a greater mission to strengthen literacy, build confidence, encourage creativity, and create meaningful opportunities for young people and their families.
Through our Read With Me Book Club, children's book distributions, engaging literacy experiences, and Young Authors Program, WHO DAT Cares Foundation is working to make reading more accessible, exciting, and impactful for children throughout our community.
But our vision goes beyond giving away books. We want to help create a culture where children are encouraged to read, families are equipped to support learning at home, and community organizations work together to make literacy a shared responsibility.
What started small is becoming a movement—one child, one book, one family, and one community at a time.
And we are just getting started.
